Faculty of Juridical Sciences (FJS) at Rama University is one of the premiere law schools of India. FJS, in its short existence, is trying to produce outstanding lawyers and legal scholarship. FJS has a very rich faculty, with diverse backgrounds, drawn from almost all corners of India. FJS’ faculty has been trained in top universities in India and abroad and has been constantly involved in delivering quality teaching and research. The faculty members of FJS, Rama University have made a name for themselves, in their respective fields, by publishing research in reputed journals in India and abroad and with renowned publishing houses and are playing a key role in pushing the frontiers of legal knowledge and expertise. FJS has also attracted leading academicians, as visiting faculties, from top universities.
FJS under the inspiring leadership of its Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) S.K.Singh, one of the most respected and renowned legal scholars of India, is striving to become a centre of excellence. It is keen to attract talented faculties and students and further enrich its academic environment for cutting edge teaching and research.
Our aim is to spread legal awareness among students and people at large. We seek to do this through public speaking, awareness camps, seminars, legal counseling, poster making and street plays. Through a mutually beneficial process of exchange, awareness is spread amongst the masses about their legal rights and duties, and how to go about seeking the same, and students of law will be exposed to the various problems associated with the ‘real world’, thereby gaining practical knowledge on the subject.
The Faculty offers Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctorate level programmes which includes B.A., LL.B. (Five years integrated programme), B.B.A., LL.B. (Five years integrated programme), LL.B. (Three years programme) LL.M. (One year programme), Ph.D. and such other programme in accordance to such syllabus for each of the above courses as approved by the Executive Council on the recommendation of the Academic Council. The number of seats in each course shall be such as may be fixed from time to time by the Executive Council.
The integrated degree course covers the study of various specialized fields of law namely Administrative Law, International Law, Labour Laws, Tax Laws, Corporate Laws, Civil law, Criminal law, Patent law, etc. and understanding of the interrelationship of Management Studies and Law.
