An Innovative Step towards the Building Blocks of Success

: The Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the graceful presence of all the faculty members of Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur organized a workshop on 19 March, 2021. This was a comprehensive workshop on attainment metrics, Bloom's Taxonomy, and CO (Course Outcome), PO (Program Outcome), and PSO (Program Specific Outcome). About the Workshop:
The workshop commenced with the cognizant words of our Dean Academic Affairs and Engineering, Dr. Hari Om Sharan, who very aptly addressed the gathering and revealed the sole purpose behind the execution of this workshop before the commencement of new semester so that it would be really helpful for the faculty members and as well as for students to begin with a new zeal for learning.
To construe the meaning of Bloom’s Taxonomy a presentation was delivered by Mr. Aaditya Veer Gautam , faculty of Engineering and Technology, that was truly an instance of paragon for achieving the desired outcomes by applying this in framing outcomes and as well as for assessment process. In his presentation, he mainly focused on OBE (Outcome Based Education) that can be acquired by applying Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy which will help to analyze the students’ learning objectives in cognitive, affective and sensory domains. He explained that how does Bloom’s Taxonomy used to classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and specificity. He stated that how can one acquire desired PSO(Program Specific Outcome) by applying IRM(Introduction, Reinforcement and Mastery) in teaching methodology that would bring a drastic change in the expected outcomes.
Ultimately, faculty members of Rama University were fortuitous enough to be a part of this workshop that truly enlightened each faculty member to lead their future aspirants in a more excited ambience of learning.
