At Rama University we make wholehearted efforts to promote research activities in various fields. The Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology under the able leadership of Dr. Ajay Kumar, H.O.D. and Dean has taken lead in research activities.
Four papers based on the research conducted under the supervision of Dr. Ajay Kumar were published in 2017 and 2018 in International Journal of Peptide Research and Therapeutics. (Publisher: Springer, Netherlands).
- “Analysis of Promiscuous T cell Epitopes for Vaccine Development Against West NileVirus Using Bioinformatics Approaches.”
-Pawan Sharma, Priti Sharma, Sanjay Mishra & Ajay Kumar
- “Sequence and Structure Based Binding Prediction Study of HLA Class I and cTAP Binding Peptides for Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine Development.”
-Pawan Sharma, Sukrit Srivastav, Sanjay Mishra, Ajay Kumar
Ms. Fariya Khan, who was pursuing her M.Tech program from the Department of Biotechnology under the supervision of Dr. Ajay Kumar, co-authored two research papers with Dr. Vivek Srivastava and Dr. Ajay Kumar (both from the Department of Biotechnology). These papers were also published in International Journal of Peptide Research and Therapeutics. (Publisher: Springer, Netherlands).
- “Computational Identification and Characterization of Potential T-Cell Epitope for the Utility of Vaccine Design Against Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli.”
-Fariya Khan, Vivek Srivastava, Ajay Kumar
- “Epitope Based Peptide Prediction from Proteome of Enterotoxigenic E.coli.”
-Fariya Khan, Vivek Srivastava, Ajay Kumar
We hope that Dr, Ajay Kumar’s efforts in finding effective vaccine for the deadly disease called diarrhea will bear fruit in near future. Rama University aims to serve mankind in more ways than one.
