Panel Discussion and farmer’s Felicitation ceremony were organized by Faculty of Agricultural Science and Allied Industries

On January 14, 2023, the Rama University, Department of Agricultural Science and Allied Industries organized a Panel Discussion and farmer’s Felicitation ceremony on New Dimensions of Agriculture, in the University's VC Seminar Hall. Dr. Ram Ashish Yadav, former Director of Seed and Farm, Department of Agronomy, Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Professor, Assistant-Director, Vegetable Science, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur, Dr. Biswajit Mandal, Scientist, Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur, and Mr. Ram Singh Patel, Progrssive farmer, Fatehpur were invited as chief guests. The panelists discussed the resources and new dimensions of the agricultural industry.
All of the distinguished guests, including university director Dr. Pratik Singh, Dr. Hari Om Sharan, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture inaugurated the program by garlanding the statues of Saraswati, and late Babu Singh Kushwaha, founder and by lighting the lamp.
Ram Singh Patel shared his agricultural experiences with the respected members and students. He said that as a result of our efforts to promote sustainable agricultural practices, farmers could now improve their income by adopting cutting-edge technology and diversifying their enterprises by visiting Krishi Vigyan Kendra. When scientists and farmers work closely, it is extremely useful to farming. He has spoken about incorporating young people in agriculture as well as changing the attitudes of university students toward it.
According to Dr. Ram Ashish Yadav, India is able to produce food grains now because of its sophisticated agricultural system. Additionally, farmers have contributed significantly to India's GDP. When describing the new aspects of farming, he stated that management is crucial for producing a decent harvest and that urea and fertilizers should be utilized in a proportionate amount to ensure an increase in crop output. Dr. Rajeev Kumar discussed the significance of natural farming and how it can be used to stop the overuse of fertilizers. Dr. Vishwajit Mandal provided information on advanced farming. He mentioned that using new technical aspects, we went into great length about having our crops certified and their marketing. In this episode, agricultural professionals gave everyone advice by providing numerous recommendations on how to gain from agriculture and process improvement.
All of the progressive farmers received awards at the program's completion. The vote of thanks were delivered by Dr. Karthik Bisen, head of department, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries. This event was well-liked by students, and according to participant feedback, it was a really nice experience. Overall, the event was a successful.
