Event Report: "IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better"

A webinar was organized by The Institution's Innovation Council in collaboration with the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries on IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day on 26 April 2022 in which the guest Speakers, Dr. H. S. Chawla, Former Dean, PGS, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Ex. Nodal Officer, Intellectual Property Management Center (IPMC), Pantnagar and Consultant, IPR in Agriculture/ Plant Variety Registration and Dr. Vaishali Dhingra, Professor & Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management, Rama University, Kanpur shared their knowledge with the participants.
In the expert lecture, they enlightened the participants that IP refers to expressed creations of the mind. IP is broken down into Industrial Property and Copyright and neighboring Rights/Related Rights. Across the globe, young people are stepping up to innovation challenges, using their energy and ingenuity, curiosity, and creativity to steer a course towards a better future. Innovative, energetic, and creative minds are helping to drive the changes we need to move to a more sustainable future. Discover how intellectual property rights can support the youth of tomorrow to create a better future. With an awareness of various forms of Intellectual Property (IP), young inventors and creators can use their IP rights to achieve their goals, generate income, create jobs, tackle local and global challenges, and support community and national development Convener, Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean, FASAI, Moderator, Dr. C.S.Raghuvanshi, Prof., CSE.FET, Coordinator, Dr. Neha, all the faculty members, along with the students participated in it and found the session to be very informative. Overall it was a successful event.
