World Physiotherapy Day 2023 Celebration at Rama University's

On September 8, 2023, the department of physiotherapy at Rama University's Faculty of Paramedical Sciences enthusiastically celebrated World Physiotherapy Day. This event was a great success thanks to the direction of the renowned Head of Institution, Dr. Brijendra Nigam (Principal & Dean), and with the active participation of dedicated faculty members.
Themed "Arthritis and Forms of Inflammatory Arthritis," the celebration was coordinated by Dr. Gulwish Sadique and supported by a team of eminent faculty members, including Dr. Nidhi Agarwal, Dr. Nidhi Shukla, Dr. Manjeet Kumar, Dr. Minhaj Tahir, and Dr. Apoorva Srivastava.
The event started initially with a mesmerising Ganesh Vandana and the lighting of ceremonial lamps. Dr. Brijendra Nigam, Dr. Pawan Kulkarni (HOD of the Biochemistry Department) and Dr. Pavan Kumar Sharma, all esteemed faculty members, provided their knowledge and viewpoints on osteoarthritis and the critical function of physiotherapy in its treatment.
The event showcased the talents of students pursuing Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Diploma in Physiotherapy. The program featured captivating performances, including dance routines based on techniques like PNF and ZUMBA, classical yoga natyam, physio ball exercises, and a thought-provoking skit.
The success of this event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of faculty members, including Mrs. Swastika Chandel, Mr. Satyendra Singh Sachan, Miss Mehna Verma, Mrs. Kirti Gaud, and Miss Poonam Yadav, who contributed tirelessly to its success.
Furthermore, the Department of Physiotherapy extends its gratitude to R J Ayush from Rama University, who broadcasted the program live on Radio Rama 90.8 FM, allowing a broader audience to engage in the celebration.
The World Physiotherapy Day 2023 celebration at Rama University's Faculty of Paramedical Sciences was a testament to the institution's commitment to holistic education and promoting awareness about the vital role of physiotherapy in healthcare.
