15-Day Placement Readiness Programme for Final-Year Commerce and Management Students at Rama University

Introduction
The Faculty of Commerce & Management (FCM), Rama University, Kanpur organized a 15-Day Placement Readiness Programme for final-year students with the objective of preparing them for upcoming placement drives, competitive recruitment processes, aptitude tests, group discussions, and personal interviews.
The programme commenced on 7 September 2026 and was designed to provide students with structured and practical preparation across various areas required for successful participation in campus recruitment processes.
Objectives of the Programme
The major objectives of the Placement Readiness Programme were:
- To enhance students' employability and overall placement preparedness.
- To strengthen quantitative and logical reasoning skills required for aptitude tests.
- To develop students' knowledge of finance, marketing, human resource management and business concepts.
- To improve communication skills, professional etiquette and personality development.
- To provide practical exposure to MS Excel and other workplace-oriented skills.
- To familiarize students with common recruitment procedures and assessment patterns.
- To develop confidence among students for group discussions, technical rounds and personal interviews.
- To identify areas of improvement through assessments and practice exercises.
Programme Structure
The 15-day programme covered multiple dimensions of placement preparation. The sessions included:

Methodology
The programme followed a practical and student-oriented approach. Students were provided with practice questions, aptitude exercises, conceptual discussions and recruitment-oriented activities. Particular emphasis was placed on medium-to-hard level questions so that students could develop the ability to handle competitive placement assessments.
Interactive activities, problem-solving exercises and interview-oriented practice were incorporated to encourage active participation and improve students' confidence.
Placement Readiness Assessment
As part of the programme, students were exposed to objective-type questions covering areas such as quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, finance, marketing, HRM, communication, personality development and Excel.
The assessment was intended not merely to test academic knowledge but also to identify students' strengths and areas requiring further improvement before participating in actual placement processes.
