3rd International Conference of Physiotherapy 2026 on NCAHP Framework Excellence Regulation and Professional Recognition

Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Allied and Healthcare Sciences organised 3rd International Conference of Physiotherapy on 18th April 2026 at the Auditorium, Rama Medical College, University Campus. The event was organised under the theme of “Excellence, Regulation and Recognition of Physiotherapists under new NCAHP Framework” which is in line with the current trend and adoption of the National Commission of Allied and Healthcare Professionals Act 2021 and its enforcement. The theme was conceptualised keeping in mind the recent trend, advancement and upliftment of the profession by the Government and providing a new stature to the profession. The conference initiated with a short video given by NCAHP Chairperson Dr. Yagna Unmesh Shukla, who congratulated the University for bringing up a topic like this on such an apt timing. The chairperson of the Conference Dr. Brijendra Nigam sir, our external Chief guests and speaker Dr. Swapnil Ramteke, Professor, Ravi Nair College of Physiotherapy, Wardha and Dr. Mahesh Kumar Shou, Professor, Bombay Hospital, Jaipur, our internal chief guest Dr. R, Sujatha and our coordinator Dr. Nidhi Shukla graced the dais and unveiled the Souvenir 2026 which incorporated the abstracts, patents, posters, etc. There were 10 Guest Speakers from all round the country amongst which 2 were International Speakers. Dr. Dev Ahuja and Dr. Samiksha Bajpai were our International Guests whereas Dr. Digvijay Sharma, Dr. Sohrab Khan, Dr. Nidhi Sharma and Dr. Suraj Kumar were our national speakers. All the speakers enlightened the delegates regarding the NCAHP Framework its usage and its implementation process. A total of 50 plus delegates registered for the conference from various universities such as CSJM University- Kanpur, TS Mishra University- Lucknow, SGT University- Gurugram, Ravi Nair College of Physiotherapy- Wardha Sawangi, etc. The total number of delegates to be accumulating to 200 participants. The convener of the conference was Dr. Nidhi Agarwal who conceptualised the whole theme and plot of the conference. The organizing committee included Dr. Nidhi Shukla (Coordinator), Dr. Apoorva Srivastava, Dr. Minhaj Tahir (PT), Dr. Gulwish Sadique (PT), Mrs. Swastika Singh Chandel, Mr. Satyendra Singh Sachan, Mrs. Meghna Verma and Mrs. Simmi Singh. The competitions which were organized included Paper presentation, Poster presentations, Working Model Presentation and Patent Presentation. At the commencement of the Conference, students of BPT performed a Cultural skit depicting the importance of Physiotherapy in various fields.
