The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries (FASAI), Rama University, organized an industrial visit to Mother Dairy, Saket Nagar, Kanpur, on July 16, 2026. The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of a modern dairy processing unit and to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industrial practices. Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Professor and Dean, FASAI provided best wishes to the students for this visit.
During the visit, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, helped the students in observing the complete dairy processing chain, beginning with the procurement and testing of raw milk, followed by pasteurization, homogenization, packaging, cold storage, and distribution. The technical staff explained the importance of quality assurance, hygiene standards, food safety protocols, and modern technologies employed in dairy processing to ensure the production of safe and nutritious milk and milk products.
The students also gained valuable insights into quality control procedures, laboratory testing, supply chain management, and the operational aspects of the dairy industry. The visit highlighted the significance of the dairy sector in strengthening rural livelihoods, generating employment, ensuring nutritional security, and contributing to India's agricultural economy.
Approximately 70 students, accompanied by faculty members Dr. Ashish Srivastava from FASAI, actively participated in the industrial visit.
