Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Allied Industries Organizes an Inspiring Alumni Interaction on Career Opportunities, Professional Growth and Industry Experiences
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Allied Industries (FASAI), Rama University, Kanpur organized an inspiring Alumni Talk “Back to Roots -2K26” on 22 August 2026 at the Auditorium of Rama University.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to interact with accomplished alumni of the Faculty who are presently working in different positions across government departments, private organizations, corporate sectors, financial institutions, and agricultural enterprises. Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries, shared her valuable insight and best wishes to the alumni present there.
The Alumni Talk was organized with the objective of providing students with first-hand professional experiences, career guidance, industry insights, and motivation. The participating alumni shared their career journeys, professional experiences, challenges, achievements, and valuable suggestions, helping students gain a practical understanding of opportunities available after completing their education in agriculture and allied fields.
The Alumni Talk witnessed the presence of distinguished alumni of the Faculty who are presently contributing in diverse professional roles across various sectors. Mr. Arjun Chaurasia, State Manager, Growit India Private Limited; Mr. Alok Kumar, Horticulture Officer, Rama University; Ms. Pranjali Singh, Zonal Marketing Manager, Krishi Rasayan; Mr. Ankur, Manager – Human Resource Training, Bharat Financial Limited; Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Technical Assistant, Directorate of Agriculture, U.P.; Mr. Shivam Dwivedi, Agriculture Technical Assistant, Agriculture Department; Mr. Prashant Kumar, TAC, U.P. Government; Mr. Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Technical Assistant, Directorate of Agriculture, U.P.; Mr. Vishal Singh, AVR at KAPL, KAPL; Mr. Avinash Singh, Sales Officer, Nestle India Limited; Ms. Shreya Tiwari, selected in AGTA Government Examination; and Ms. Yashika, Key Account – Sales, Parag Milk Foods Limited, were among the alumni present and interacted with the students.
The interaction was further enriched by the presence of Mr. Yogendra Nath Dubey, an aspirant preparing for UPPSC and Government examinations; Mr. Ayush Kumar, Collector Centre Incharge, BigBasket; Mr. Gayendra Kumar, Clerk in Collectorate, Chhatarpur, MP, MP Government; Mr. Vishal Mani, Agri Entrepreneur Mentor, Agri Entrepreneur Growth Foundation; Mr. Abhijeet Solanki, State Manager, Growit India Private Limited; Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, Regional Manager & Business Educator, HDFC Bank, Hardoi; Mr. Gaurav Singh, Assistant Recovery Manager, Shriram Finance Ltd.; Mr. Himanshu Bhardwaj, Manager, Pesticide India; Mr. Alok Gupti, Senior Territory Manager, Kaveri Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. Saurab Pratap, Agriculture Technical Assistant, Uttar Pradesh. Their presence represented the diverse professional pathways pursued by the alumni of FASAI and added significant value to the interaction with the students.
During the interaction, the alumni shared valuable experiences from their respective professional fields and guided students on various aspects of career development.
Arjun Chaurasia, State Manager at Growit India Private Limited, emphasized the importance of practical knowledge, professional discipline, and understanding the changing requirements of the agricultural industry.
Alok Kumar, Horticulture Officer at Rama University, encouraged students to strengthen their technical knowledge and make effective use of practical and field-based learning opportunities.
Pranjali Singh, Zonal Marketing Manager at Krishi Rasayan, highlighted the importance of communication skills, market understanding, confidence, and professional networking for building a successful career.
Shreya Tiwari, selected in the AGTA Government Examination, motivated students to remain disciplined and dedicated while preparing for competitive examinations and government careers.
Shubham Gupta, Territory Manager, Dhanuka Agritech shared his professional experience and encouraged students to remain committed to their goals and explore diverse career opportunities.
The programme was organized by Dr. Ashish Srivastava, Assistant Professor, FASAI, whose initiative and dedicated efforts played a central role in making the Alumni Talk a meaningful and impactful interaction.
Dr. Ashish Srivastava deserves special appreciation for his vision, coordination, commitment, and student-centric approach in bringing successful alumni from diverse professional backgrounds onto a common platform with current students. His initiative provided students with direct access to authentic professional experiences and practical career guidance.
The Alumni Talk – Back to Roots 2K26 concluded on an inspiring note. The presence and interaction of alumni working in diverse positions across different organizations provided students with a broader understanding of career opportunities, professional expectations, practical skills, higher education, competitive examinations, entrepreneurship, and industry requirements.
The programme successfully strengthened the bond between FASAI and its alumni and motivated students to pursue their career aspirations with greater confidence, dedication, and purpose. The sincere efforts of Dr. Ashish Srivastava and the valuable participation of the alumni made the programme a meaningful and memorable learning experience for the students.
