The Valedictory Session of the 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the theme “Fueling Research Innovation to Elevate Academic and Industrial Health Outcomes” was successfully conducted on 1st September 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Seminar Hall, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University, Kanpur.
The event was gracefully anchored by Mrs. Nilandrita Deb, Associate Professor, Faculty of Nursing, who efficiently conducted the proceedings of the valedictory session. The event commenced with a traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing the dissemination of knowledge and enlightenment. Dignitaries and faculty members participated in the ritual, marking the auspicious conclusion of the FDP.
Prof. S. Sumiya, Head of the Department, Fundamentals of Nursing, delivered the Welcome Address, extending a warm greeting to all esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, resource persons and participants. She highlighted the significance of the FDP in enhancing the research aptitude and collaborative potential between academic and industrial healthcare sectors.
The Inaugural Address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Jasmi Johnson, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University. Dr. Johnson appreciated the participants’ active engagement throughout the FDP and emphasized the critical role of nursing professionals in integrating research innovation for improved health outcomes.
The session was graced by the Visionary Address of Dr. Janardhana Amaranath B.J, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Rama University. Dr. Janardhana Amaranath highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering a research-driven culture and underscored the importance of translational research in bridging the gap between academia and healthcare industries. Sir also encouraged faculty members to pursue interdisciplinary collaborations and industry partnerships to contribute to national and global health advancements.
Prof. Dr. Indrajeet Gupta, Dean of Academics & Planning and Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rama University, extended his Special Wishes. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the organizing team and resource persons and emphasized the need to align academic research with real-world health industry challenges.
As a token of gratitude and appreciation, felicitations were conferred upon the esteemed resource persons who shared their expertise and enriched the FDP with their valuable insights. Their contributions were acknowledged with mementos and certificates.
The formal Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. K. Jyothisree, Head of the Department, Medical-Surgical Nursing. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, resource persons, organizing committee members, and participants. She also acknowledged the unwavering support of the university leadership and technical staff in making the FDP a grand success.
The valedictory session concluded with the National Anthem, invoking a sense of pride and unity among all attendees. The Valedictory Session marked the successful culmination of a knowledge-intensive and collaborative 5-day Faculty Development Program. The FDP provided a dynamic platform for faculty members to explore innovative research avenues that can elevate both academic performance and industrial health outcomes. The event fostered a sense of academic community and set the stage for future interdisciplinary partnerships and research initiatives.
