The Faculty Coordinator for the visit was Mr. Rahul Singh, who accompanied the students and facilitated their interaction with legal professionals. During the court visit, students were given an opportunity to observe live court proceedings, understand courtroom procedures, and gain insight into the practical functioning of the judicial system. The visit proved to be highly informative and enriching for the students, as it bridged the gap between theoretical legal education and real-world legal practice. A significant contribution to the success of the visit was made by the officials associated with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kanpur Dehat.
The students were warmly guided by Smt. Noopur Srivastava, Secretary, DLSA; Mr. Prashant Yadav, Chief District Legal Aid Defence Counsel; Mr. Ashutosh Dubey, Assistant District Legal Aid Defense Counsel; and Ms. Chanda. They not only explained the structure and functioning of the Legal Aid system but also shared their valuable professional experiences with the students. The officials elaborated on the importance of free legal aid, the role of legal defense counsels, and the functioning of legal services institutions in ensuring access to justice for all, particularly for the underprivileged sections of society.
The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and understand the practical challenges faced in the legal profession. The Educational Court Visit was a great academic success and served as an important step toward strengthening students’ understanding of courtroom advocacy, legal aid mechanisms, and judicial administration. The Faculty of Juridical Sciences remains committed to organizing such practical exposure programs to enhance the professional competence and social responsibility of its students.
