About the course
|
Impression making for the implant is one of the important factors to obtain a good prosthesis. An accurate impression is mandatory for the success of implant supported dental prosthesis as an accurate recording of spatial implant position is required to obtain a proper support to definitive restoration with passive fit. Ultimate aim of Impression in implant dentistry is to record; Position, Depth, Axis/Angulation, Rotation-Hex position, Soft Tissue Contour (Emergence Profile). Hence, Impression technique is the key for the success in the field of implant dentistry. Usually, the clinicians do not prefer one type of restoration over the other because both types of restorations, screw-retained and cementretained, have certain advantages and disadvantages. However, based on reviewing the related literature, it has been demonstrated that one type of restoration is more appropriate than the other in some clinical situations. This hands-on prosthetic course will allow the participants to handle several different Implant prosthetic components. Additionally, it will deal with the current trends and practices involving Implant prosthetics that can skill the clinicians to manage most prosthetic rehabilitation and complications. Furthermore, the course will also cover the prosthetic protocols for prominent implant systems, and the generic protocols to allow the participants to confidently restore implants.
