Embracing Awareness: Rama University Shines Bright on World AIDS Day 2023

In a spirited tribute to World AIDS Day, the Faculty of Nursing at Rama University illuminated its Seminar Hall with compassion and knowledge on December 1, 2023. Themed "Let Communities Lead," the event aimed to raise awareness and support for those affected by HIV/AIDS.
The program kicked off with a solemn lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing hope in the face of challenges. Mr. Prabakaran, Head of the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, setting the stage for an impactful afternoon.
Dr. Jasmi Manu, the Principal of the Faculty of Nursing, delivered a compelling speech addressing the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS, emphasizing the need for awareness. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as students engaged in a dynamic Panel Discussion, representing diverse nations and sharing global efforts against HIV/AIDS.
Adding a creative flair, B.Sc Semester-IV students enacted a thought-provoking Role-play, delving into community perspectives on HIV/AIDS and exploring compassionate ways to care for those affected. Mr. Prabakaran, once again taking the stage, presented a poignant video shedding light on the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS.
A remarkable 150 students actively participated in the event, showcasing their commitment to understanding and addressing the challenges posed by this global health issue. The program concluded on a high note with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a collective rendition of the National Anthem, echoing unity and solidarity.
