Faculty of Nursing , Rama University, Kanpur, organized an impactful and high-spirited rally on the theme “Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam – Prachar Abhiyaan,” aiming to spread awareness about women’s empowerment, gender equality, and the importance of increasing women’s participation in decision-making processes. The initiative reflected the university’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and progressive environment that uplifts and empowers women in all spheres of life.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from all female students, faculty members, and staff of the university. More than 550 women came together in a unified display of strength and solidarity, making it one of the most significant awareness drives organized on campus.
The Padayatra commenced at 10:00 AM from the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat and was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest Smt.Swapnil Varun, Zila Panchayat Adhyaksh, Kanpur and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr.Janardhana Amarnanth BJ and all the Deans ,Principals of various faculties Hon’ble Vice chancellor sir emphasized the inaugural address about the significance of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam as a transformative step toward ensuring greater representation of women in governance and leadership roles. He encouraged students to become active participants in building a more equitable society.
The rally proceeded through the entire Rama University campus and extended to Rama Hospital & Research Centre, Mandhana, ensuring maximum outreach among students, staff, patients, and visitors. The slogans raised during the march created a powerful and inspiring atmosphere, drawing attention to the need for collective efforts in achieving gender justice.
Participants also emphasized the role of education in empowering women and highlighted how awareness initiatives like this can bring about positive social change. Faculty members guided students throughout the rally, reinforcing the message that empowerment begins with knowledge, confidence, and equal opportunity.
The rally concluded at 11:30 AM in front of the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, where participants gathered to reaffirm their commitment to supporting women’s rights and advocating for gender equality. The event successfully served its purpose of spreading awareness and inspiring individuals to contribute toward a more inclusive and empowered society.
