The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries (FASAI) in collaboration with Faculty of Engineering and Technology,, Rama University, organized an insightful expert lecture on the theme “Robotics & IoT in Smart Agriculture” to enlighten students and faculty about the cutting-edge applications of technology in modern farming practices. The session was convened under the academic leadership of Dr. Inderjeet Gupta, Professor & Dean, Academics and Planning, Rama University. The event was efficiently moderated by Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Professor and Dean, FASAI, who ensured a dynamic and engaging flow of the session.The distinguished speaker for the event was Mr. N. Venkata Reddy, Founder & CEO – Teckybot and Founder – Vihaan Electrix. A seasoned Technology Visionary, STEM Ecosystem Builder, and Industry 4.0 Champion, Mr. Reddy has over a decade of experience in transforming the education and industrial sectors through innovation. His expertise spans across AI, Robotics, IoT, 3D Printing, and Electric Vehicle Technology, empowering thousands of students and professionals with futuristic skills.Mr. Reddy delivered an engaging and knowledge-rich session highlighting the importance of Robotics and IoT in revolutionizing agriculture. He elaborated on how these technologies enable smart farming through automation, sensor-based monitoring, and real-time data analytics. Practical examples of drones, autonomous tractors, smart irrigation systems, and IoT-enabled crop monitoring tools were discussed. He also emphasized the role of agri-tech start-ups and encouraged students to integrate engineering and digital solutions with conventional agricultural practices.
