"Future Skills for Business Graduates in the AI Era”
The Faculty of Commerce & Management (FCM), Rama University, Kanpur organized an insightful session as part of the Orientation & Induction Program 2026–27 for the newly inducted students of B.Com, BBA, and MBA. The session aimed to familiarize students with the changing requirements of the corporate sector and help them understand the skills needed to build successful and future-ready careers in an increasingly AI-driven business environment.

The session was conducted by Mr. Mohit Yadav, an accomplished Learning and Development professional with over 11 years of corporate experience. He currently serves as the Zonal Training Manager – Central Zone at Birla Opus (Aditya Birla Group), where he leads Learning and Development initiatives across five states and contributes to the capability development of more than 8,000 employees through strategic learning interventions, LMS implementation, and blended learning programmes.
The session was particularly relevant for the newly inducted B.Com, BBA, and MBA students, providing them with an early understanding of the skills and competencies expected in the contemporary corporate environment. Mr. Yadav emphasized that students should begin developing their professional capabilities from the beginning of their academic journey rather than waiting until graduation or placement season.
During the interaction, he discussed the changing nature of business and employment in the Artificial Intelligence era and highlighted the importance of technical knowledge, digital literacy, communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, teamwork, leadership, and continuous learning.
Drawing from his extensive corporate experience, Mr. Yadav explained how organizations are increasingly using AI and digital technologies to improve productivity, learning, communication, and decision-making. He also introduced students to practical AI tools such as ChatGPT, Synthesia, and HeyGen, demonstrating their effective use for learning and professional development.
The interaction provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world corporate expectations. It encouraged them to identify and develop their strengths, remain curious about emerging technologies, and actively participate in learning opportunities throughout their academic journey.
The session was highly informative, interactive, and motivating. Under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Indu Shukla, Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management, and with the active support of the Event Coordinators, Ms. Sanya Srivastava and Ms. Priyanka Chetri, in coordination with Mr. Gurmeet Singh and all faculty members of FCM, the programme successfully achieved the objectives of the Orientation & Induction Program 2026–27.
Overall, the session by Mr. Mohit Yadav provided an enriching beginning to the students’ academic and professional journey at the Faculty of Commerce & Management, motivating them to become future-ready, adaptable, digitally competent, and industry-oriented professionals.
