Objective of the Event
The Alumni Interactive Session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by equipping students with practical knowledge of resume building, recruitment processes, and employability skills. It sought to enhance students' career readiness, develop their professional and interpersonal competencies, and strengthen alumni–student engagement through meaningful interaction and shared industry experiences.
The Faculty of Commerce & Management (FCM), Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur, successfully organized an Alumni Interactive Session on the topic “From Resume to Recruitment – Skills That Make You Employable” on 16th July 2026 in hybrid mode. The session was conducted under the guidance of Dean, Prof. (Dr.) Indu Shukla, and coordinated by Event Coordinator Ms. Sanya Srivastava and Alumni Coordinator Ms. Shivani Anand, with the active support and participation of all faculty members of FCM.
The programme featured Ms. Aditi Tripathi (Alumni Batch 2022–24) as the guest speaker, who shared valuable insights on professional resume building, recruitment processes, corporate work culture, and the technical and soft skills essential for employability. Students from the BBA, B.Com, and MBA programmes enthusiastically participated in the interactive session and benefited from practical, industry-oriented guidance. The event successfully strengthened alumni–student engagement while enhancing students' career readiness and professional development.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating throughout the programme. They raised thoughtful questions regarding resume preparation, interview strategies, recruitment procedures, organizational hierarchy, career growth opportunities, workplace expectations, and the competencies required to succeed in the corporate sector. Ms. Tripathi addressed each query with practical examples and real-life experiences, making the session highly relatable, engaging, and enriching for the participants.
The interaction provided students with a realistic understanding of contemporary recruitment practices and highlighted the importance of preparing themselves beyond academic excellence. The session emphasized the value of continuous learning, effective communication, adaptability, and professional skill development in today's competitive job market. Faculty members appreciated the relevance of the programme in equipping students with industry-oriented knowledge and enhancing their career readiness for future professional opportunities.
