Faculty of Journalism Celebrated International Women's Day

Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Rama University recently organized a Speech Competition on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The theme of the competition was Women: Our Inspiration.
The participants had to deliver an impactful speech on their female role model who has inspired them to dream big and achieve more in life. There were numerous students who enthusiastically participated in the contest, however, there were three who stood out and bagged first, second, and third position respectively:
Divya Bajpai- Winner - Talked about Neerja Bhanot, an Indian model and purser for the airline who gave her life saving passengers on Pan Am Flight 73 which was hijacked by terrorists during a stopover in Karachi, Pakistan, on September 5, 1986.
Shubhangi Mishra- Runner-up-Idolizes Shreya Ghoshal, an Indian playback singer who has received four National Film Awards and six Filmfare Awards apart from many other accolades.
Anushika Pandey- Second Runner-up- Inspired by Sweta Singh, an Indian journalist and news presenter. She is a news anchor and Executive Editor of Special Programming at Aaj Tak.
