The Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, organised an Anti-Ragging Awareness Session at the Faculty of Ayurveda on 12 November 2025, from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM, under the guidance of Dr. Guruprasad K (Principal-Rama Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital (RAMC) ) and Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall (Dean, FJS)
The objective of the session was to sensitize newly admitted students about the legal, ethical, and institutional framework against ragging. During the interaction, first-year students were briefed on what constitutes ragging, its legal consequences, and the remedies available under law. The campaign emphasized the importance of mutual respect, empathy, and discipline in maintaining a healthy academic environment.
The session encouraged open dialogue, helping students understand their rights and responsibilities in ensuring a ragging-free, inclusive, and student-friendly campus.
The session was conducted by Mr. Maneesh Srivastava (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Juridical Sciences).
Student representatives Varonica Chaturvedi, Vaishnavi Singh, and Nidhi Shahi (B.A. LL.B., 7th Semester), along with Dakshesh Dubey (B.A. LL.B., 9th Semester), played an active role in coordinating and facilitating the programme.
This initiative reflects Rama University’s firm commitment to the UGC Anti-Ragging Guidelines and its mission to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
