Debate: Upholding Constitutional Values by Law Students
The Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, successfully organized a Debate Competition titled “Voices of Justice: Topics on Constitution, Equality, and Social Justice” on the occasion of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April 2026, under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall, Dean – FJS.
The event was conducted with the objective of commemorating the visionary legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and promoting awareness among students regarding constitutional values, equality, and social justice.
The program commenced with an inaugural session wherein the Dean delivered an insightful and inspiring address. He highlighted the remarkable contributions of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar towards the framing of the Indian Constitution and emphasized the continued relevance of justice, equality, and fraternity in present-day society.
The academic segment of the program was enriched by the presence of Ms. Riddhi Tripathi, Head of Department, who delivered the Vote of Thanks and expressed sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, organizers, and participants for their valuable contribution to the successful conduct of the event. Dr. Vir Vikram Bahadur Singh, Associate Professor, and Mr. Manish Shrivastava, Assistant Professor, who addressed the students and shared their perspectives on the enduring significance of Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals. They emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar’s vision extended beyond constitutional and legal frameworks to encompass broader ideals of equality, dignity, empowerment, and inclusive nation-building.
The Debate Competition was organized as the central highlight of the celebration. Students enthusiastically participated and presented well-articulated arguments on significant themes including the Constitution of India, Equality, and Social Justice. The competition provided an excellent platform for developing analytical thinking, legal awareness, public speaking skills, and confidence in expressing views on constitutional issues.

- 3rd Position: Santosh Pal
The event concluded on a successful and meaningful note, reinforcing the principles of justice, equality, and constitutional values among students. It served as an enriching academic and commemorative platform, enabling participants to pay tribute to the enduring legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar while fostering critical engagement with constitutional and social issues.
