Faculty of Juridical Sciences Hosts Expert Talk on Career Guidance and Competitive Examination Preparation in Law

Empowering Law Students for Competitive Examinations
The Faculty of Juridical Sciences (FJS), Rama University, Kanpur successfully organized an Expert Talk on "Career Guidance & Preparation for Competitive Examinations in Law" on 13 July 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room No. 203. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Kumar Mall, Dean, Faculty of Juridical Sciences, and was coordinated by Dr. Sadhna Trivedi, Programme Coordinator. The programme aimed to provide law students with comprehensive guidance on career opportunities in the legal profession and to equip them with effective strategies for preparing for competitive examinations. It also sought to enhance students' awareness of judicial and legal career pathways, strengthen their professional competencies, and motivate them towards systematic and goal-oriented preparation.
The expert session was delivered by Ms. Riddhi Tripathi, who shared valuable insights on career prospects in the legal field and preparation strategies for competitive examinations such as the Judicial Services Examination, UPPCS (J), Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO), CBI (Public Prosecutor), and other law-related recruitment examinations. She emphasized the importance of conceptual clarity, structured study plans, legal drafting, analytical reasoning, current legal developments, interview preparation, and effective time management.
The session was highly interactive, providing students with an opportunity to clarify their queries regarding examination patterns, eligibility criteria, career planning, and higher education opportunities in law. The programme significantly enhanced students' understanding of diverse legal career options and inspired them to pursue academic excellence and professional development with confidence and dedication.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the expert speaker, the university administration, faculty members, and all participating students for their valuable contribution to the successful conduct of the event.
