Faculty of Juridical Sciences Hosts Expert Talk on Diverse Career Opportunities in Law

The Faculty of Juridical Sciences (FJS), Rama University, Kanpur organised an insightful Expert Talk on “Career Opportunities in Law” on 3rd September 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Seminar Hall, VC Building. The programme aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the diverse career opportunities available in the legal profession, including litigation, legal practice, professional ethics, and emerging avenues for career growth.
The programme was graced by distinguished legal professionals, including Mr. Binay Mishra, General Secretary, Kanpur Bar Association, as the Chief Guest; Mr. Sharad Shukla, Former General Secretary, Lawyers Bar Association, as the Guest of Honour; Mr. Manoj Dwivedi, Former Vice President, Kanpur Bar Association; Mr. Shashikant Pandey, Former Vice President, Kanpur Bar Association; and Ms. Rashipa Begum, Advocate, Kanpur Nagar. The distinguished guests shared their professional experiences, practical knowledge, and valuable guidance with the students, highlighting the importance of sound legal knowledge, professional competence, effective communication, advocacy skills, ethical conduct, and continuous learning for building a successful career in law.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall, Dean, Faculty of Juridical Sciences, who emphasised the importance of bridging the gap between legal education and professional practice and preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the legal profession. The session was coordinated by Dr. Kaneez Fatima, Faculty Coordinator, with active participation from faculty members and students.
The Expert Talk provided an enriching platform for academic learning, professional interaction, and career orientation, enabling students to gain practical perspectives on the legal profession and understand the skills and competencies required for professional success. The programme further strengthened the interaction between legal academia and the Bar and reflected the Faculty of Juridical Sciences’ commitment to holistic legal education, professional excellence, and student development.
