Faculty of Juridical Sciences Organised an Expert Talk on “Youth Participation in Nation Building and Social Responsibility by IG (Home Guard-U.P.) ”

The Faculty of Juridical Sciences (FJS), Rama University, Uttar Pradesh, organised an Expert Talk on “Youth Participation in Nation Building and Social Responsibility” on 28th September 2026, Auditorium Rama University, under the guidance of Hon’ble Director, Rama Group, Dr. Pranav Singh. The programme aimed to provide students with an opportunity to interact with distinguished officers and gain valuable insights into the importance of youth participation, discipline, social responsibility, leadership, and active contribution towards nation building.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest, Mr. Santosh Kumar, I.G., Home Guards, Uttar Pradesh, and Special Guest, Mrs. Preeti Sharma, Divisional Commandant, Home Guards, Kanpur. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall, Dean-FJS, who highlighted the significant role of youth in promoting social responsibility and contributing towards the development of the nation. During the programme, Dr. Janardhana Amaranath B.J., Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Rama University, presented a memento to the Chief Guest, Mr. Santosh Kumar. Dr. R.K. Yadav presented a memento to the Special Guest, Mrs. Preeti Sharma. Prof. (Dr.) Anita Yadav, Dean, FASAI, and Prof. (Dr.) Abhay Shukla, Dean, FET, also presented tokens of respect to the distinguished guests.
Chief Guest – Mr. Santosh Kumar, I.G., Home Guards, Uttar Pradesh, emphasised that the youth have a significant role in nation building. He encouraged students to develop discipline, leadership qualities, social awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility towards society and the nation Special Guest – Mrs. Preeti Sharma, Divisional Commandant, Home Guards, Kanpur highlighted the importance of responsible citizenship, community participation, self-discipline, and social service. She encouraged students to actively contribute to society and fulfil their responsibilities as young citizens. The discussion focused on discipline, leadership, civic awareness, community participation, social responsibility, and commitment towards society and the nation. The interaction provided students with an opportunity to understand how responsible and active participation can contribute to the development of a progressive and responsible society.
The Expert Talk was an informative and engaging academic initiative of the Faculty of Juridical Sciences. The valuable presence and guidance of the distinguished guests enriched the programme and provided meaningful learning to the students.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the University authorities, distinguished guests, faculty members, and students for their valuable presence, support, and contribution towards the successful organisation of the Expert Talk.
