Faculty of Juridical Sciences Organises Preamble Recitation Competition 2026

The Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, Kanpur organised the Constitutional Recitation Competition 2026 on 8 September 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the Seminar Hall, VC Building. The Constitutional Recitation Competition was organised as an academic and co-curricular activity to promote awareness and understanding of the Constitution of India among law students. The programme provided students with an academic platform to engage with the constitutional text and articulate constitutional principles through recitation.
The programme commenced with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Kumar Mall, Dean, Faculty of Juridical Sciences. In his address, he emphasised the importance of understanding constitutional values and their relevance to the legal profession and responsible citizenship.
The major objectives of the competition were:
- To enhance students’ understanding of the Constitution of India.
- To promote awareness of constitutional values and principles.
- To develop students’ recitation, communication and public-speaking skills.
- To encourage confidence and active participation in academic activities.
- To foster respect for the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.
A total of 60 students participated in the competition. The participants demonstrated enthusiasm, confidence and a sincere engagement with the constitutional text. The activity provided students with an opportunity to improve their communication skills while strengthening their understanding of constitutional principles.

The competition contributed to enhancing students’ constitutional awareness, communication skills, confidence and public-speaking abilities. The programme successfully achieved its intended academic and co-curricular objectives and witnessed active participation from the students.
