Faculty of Juridical Sciences Organizes Alumni Connect 2026 to Bridge Legal Education and Practice

The Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, Kanpur organised Alumni Connect 2026 – Alumni Talk Series on 07 August 2026 on the theme “Learn, Shape and Inspire: Bridging Legal Education and Professional Practice.”
The programme was organised with the objective of providing students with an opportunity to interact with an alumnus and gain valuable insights into the transition from legal education to professional practice. The session provided a meaningful platform for knowledge sharing, professional interaction and career-oriented guidance, thereby strengthening the engagement between the University, alumni and students.
Objectives of the Programme
The Alumni Talk was organised with the following objectives:
- To bridge the gap between legal education and professional practice.
- To provide students with practical exposure to real-world legal experiences.
- To create awareness regarding diverse career opportunities in the legal profession.
- To develop professional, communication and interpersonal skills among law students.
- To encourage students to adopt a practice-oriented and career-focused approach towards legal education.
- To strengthen the relationship between the University, alumni and students.
- To promote mentoring, knowledge exchange and professional networking.
The programme commenced at 01:30 PM with a welcome address and the introduction of the distinguished speaker, Ms. Preeti Kumari, Alumni, Faculty of Juridical Sciences.
During the interactive session, Ms. Preeti Kumari shared valuable insights from her academic and professional journey. She highlighted the importance of translating classroom-based legal knowledge into practical situations and emphasised the significance of internships, legal research, communication skills, professional networking, continuous learning and effective career planning in the development of aspiring legal professionals.
The discussion was engaging and encouraged students to develop a practical and professionally oriented approach towards their legal education and future careers.

The Alumni Talk successfully created a meaningful platform for student–alumni interaction, professional mentoring and knowledge exchange. The experiences and guidance shared by Ms. Preeti Kumari provided students with practical perspectives on the legal profession and encouraged them to approach their academic journey with greater professionalism, confidence and purpose.
The initiative also provided an opportunity for students to connect theoretical learning with professional realities and gain a better understanding of the skills and competencies required for successful careers in the legal sector. The Faculty of Juridical Sciences remains committed to organising meaningful alumni engagement initiatives that contribute towards academic excellence, professional development, experiential learning and holistic student development.
