Faculty of Juridical Sciences Organizes Legal Literacy Drive on National Girl Child Day

Vidhik Saksharta Jagrukta Abhiyan on National Girl Child Day
Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, on the occasion of National Girl Child Day organized a legal awareness program titled “Legal Literacy Drive” on 24 January 2026 at 11:00 AM at Raman and Kalpana Hostels, Rama University. The program was organized under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall, Dean, Faculty of Juridical Sciences, with the objective of creating awareness among students and hostel residents regarding the rights of the girl child and the importance of legal literacy in ensuring dignity, equality, and protection for girls in society.

The initiative reflected the University’s continuous commitment towards promoting gender justice, legal awareness, and social responsibility through community outreach and student engagement.
Program Highlights
The program commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of National Girl Child Day and the need for continuous efforts to protect and promote the rights of girls.
Faculty members and student volunteers addressed the participants and discussed:
- Fundamental rights and legal protections available to the girl child under Indian law.
- The role of education and awareness in preventing discrimination and violence against girls.
- The importance of reporting violations and seeking timely legal remedies.
The session was interactive in nature, with real-life illustrations and practical examples used to make legal concepts easily understandable. Participants were encouraged to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions, fostering an environment of awareness and sensitivity.
