The Faculty of Nursing, Rama University, Kanpur, celebrated a memorable farewell programme “NOVELLA 2K26” for the outgoing final-year batches of B.Sc. Nursing, GNM and ANM-2026. The programme was organized to celebrate the students’ academic journey, achievements, friendships, and beautiful memories created during their years at the university. The occasion brought together the graduating students, faculty members, and distinguished dignitaries in an atmosphere filled with joy, nostalgia, and warm wishes for the students’ future.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, faculty members, and graduating students, followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Jasmi Johnson, Dean-cum-Principal, Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Allied Industries; Dr. Abhay Shukla, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Jasmi Johnson, Dean-cum-Principal, Faculty of Nursing, who extended her heartfelt wishes to the outgoing students and reflected on their journey at the university. In her inspiring address, she encouraged the students to carry forward the values of compassion, discipline, professional ethics, confidence, and lifelong learning as they enter the nursing profession. She reminded them that nursing is not only a profession but also a commitment to serving humanity with empathy and dedication. She motivated the students to face future challenges with courage, remain committed to excellence, and always uphold the dignity of the nursing profession.
The celebration continued with an invocation dance, welcome address, and inspiring messages by the dignitaries, who conveyed their valuable guidance and best wishes to the outgoing students. The students presented a vibrant array of cultural performances, including solo dances, group dances, duet performances, and other entertaining presentations, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and celebration.
The programme also featured an exciting ramp walk and various fun-filled rounds, giving the graduating students an opportunity to showcase their confidence, personality, and talents. The final questioning round was followed by the distribution of MS. Farewell titles, adding an element of excitement and making the occasion especially memorable for the outgoing batches.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, final group photograph, and the National Anthem. The farewell celebration served as a heartfelt tribute to the graduating students and marked the completion of an important chapter of their academic lives while encouraging them to step forward with confidence into their professional journey.
