Teacher’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives, careers, values, and personalities of students. Teachers play a vital role not only in imparting knowledge but also in inspiring students, nurturing their potential, developing their confidence, and guiding them towards becoming responsible professionals and citizens. To express gratitude and celebrate the dedication of educators, the Faculty of Nursing, Rama University, Kanpur organized a Teacher’s Day Celebration on 5th September 2026 at the University Auditorium, Rama University, under the theme “The Edu Visionaries.” The celebration provided a meaningful platform to acknowledge the dedication of teachers and strengthen the bond of respect, gratitude, and affection between teachers and students.
The programme commenced with the welcome of the guests and gathering. The dignitaries, faculty members and students were warmly welcomed, creating a pleasant and celebratory atmosphere for the occasion. The formal inauguration of the celebration began with the lamp-lighting ceremony. The ceremonial lamp was illuminated in the presence of esteemed Deans of the University, including Dr. Jasmi Johnson, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Allied Industries, Dr. Abhay Shukla, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technologyand Dr. Guruprasad, Dean, Faculty of Ayurveda.
The lamp-lighting ceremony was followed by a graceful invocation dance, which added a spiritual and cultural essence to the celebration. This was followed by the welcome speech, during which the students extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to all the teachers. As a special gesture of love, respect, and gratitude, the students presented beautiful planter pots to the teachers. The Presidential Address highlighted the significance of teachers in shaping young minds and emphasized their contribution towards academic excellence, character building, professional development, and the overall growth of students.
The programme continued with the Words of Wisdom by the Deans, during which the respected Deans shared their valuable thoughts, experiences, and inspirational messages with the faculty members and students. Their words emphasized the importance of dedication, continuous learning, professional excellence, ethical values, teamwork, and the responsibility of teachers in shaping the future generation. The participation of the Deans from various faculties added diversity and richness to the celebration. The celebration was further marked by a joyful cake-cutting ceremony in which the dignitaries, faculty members and students participated, adding warmth and festivity to the Teacher’s Day celebration.
The highlight of the celebration was the cultural programme, where students showcased their talents through various performances. The cultural presentations created a lively and joyful atmosphere and reflected the love, admiration, and gratitude of students towards their teachers. The performances also provided an opportunity for students to express their emotions and appreciation in a creative manner. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, respected Deans, faculty members, students, organizers, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the celebration.
The celebration concluded with the National Anthem. The Teacher’s Day Celebration 2026 was a memorable occasion that celebrated the invaluable contribution of teachers and reinforced the importance of respect, gratitude, inspiration, and lifelong learning. The event successfully brought teachers and students together in an atmosphere of appreciation, joy, and togetherness, making the celebration a truly meaningful tribute to the “Edu Visionaries.”
