Faculty of Nursing Organizes Skill India Awareness Session for International Employment Opportunities

Faculty of Nursing, Rama University Organizes Awareness Session on “Skill India International: Building Skills for a Global Career”
The Faculty of Nursing, Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur, organized an informative Awareness and Orientation Session on Skill India International Centre (SIIC) to create awareness among students about skill development, career opportunities, professional training and pathways for international employment.
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, works towards strengthening the skill ecosystem in the country and enhancing the employability of young people through industry-oriented training and skill development initiatives. The Skill India International Centres aim to provide aspiring candidates with relevant skills, training and guidance to meet international employment standards and explore career opportunities abroad.
The programme commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and the beginning of a meaningful learning experience. The dignitaries and members of the SIC team were warmly welcomed by the Faculty of Nursing. Mr. Sandeep Kumar and Mr. Roshan Kumar, FTRO, SIIC Kanpur, RDSDE-Kanpur, NSTI-Kanpur, were welcomed and felicitated on the occasion.
The SIIC team conducted an engaging and informative session for the students, highlighting various aspects of skill development, international employment opportunities, professional training, eligibility requirements, employability skills and career preparation. The speakers emphasized the importance of developing industry-relevant competencies, communication skills, technical knowledge and adaptability to meet the requirements of the changing global employment sector.
A total of 200 students actively participated in the session. The programme included an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students enthusiastically raised questions regarding skill training, eligibility, international career opportunities, overseas employment, required qualifications and the process of preparing for global opportunities. The SIC representatives addressed the queries and provided useful guidance to the students.
The students gave positive feedback and expressed that the session enhanced their understanding of skill development initiatives and international career opportunities. The interaction also motivated them to focus on professional competency development and continuous learning.
Prof. Dr. Jasmi Johnson, Dean-cum-Principal, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University, appreciated the efforts of the SIIC team and the Faculty of Nursing in organizing the awareness programme. She encouraged the students to make effective use of available skill-development opportunities and to continuously enhance their professional knowledge, skills and employability.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Mr. Roshan Kumar, FTRO, SIIC Kanpur, RDSDE-Kanpur, NSTI-Kanpur, the university administration, faculty members and all the participating students for their valuable contribution and active involvement.
The session concluded successfully on a positive and informative note, providing 200 students with greater awareness of skill development, employability enhancement and potential international career opportunities.
