FASAI Rama University Signs Strategic MoU with LIL Farm Dehradun to Advance Agricultural Innovation Together

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Allied Industries (FASAI), Rama University, Kanpur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LIL FARM (Learning Integrated Livelihood–Forestry, Agronomy and Rural Management), Dehradun on 17 July, 2026 with the objective of establishing a strong and mutually beneficial partnership to promote excellence in agricultural education, research, skill development, and extension services. The collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia linkages and creating opportunities for experiential learning and innovation in the field of agriculture.
The MoU was signed in the presence of senior officials and representatives from both institutions. Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Allied Industries, Rama University, signed the agreement on behalf of the University, while Mr. Shobhit Pundir, Managing Director, LIL Farm, Dehradun, represented the industry partner. The ceremony reflected the shared commitment of both organizations to work together for the advancement of sustainable agricultural practices and professional capacity building. The signing ceremony was conducted in the presence of Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, whose active participation and support further strengthened the collaborative initiative.
Under the provisions of the agreement, both institutions have agreed to collaborate in a wide range of academic and professional activities, including student training and industrial exposure, collaborative research projects, consultancy services, practical learning sessions, outreach programmes, educational initiatives, exchange programmes, and study visits. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical field applications by providing students with opportunities to gain hands-on experience, industry exposure, and technical expertise.
The MoU also lays a strong foundation for promoting joint research and innovation in agriculture. Faculty members, researchers, and students from both institutions will be encouraged to undertake collaborative research activities, develop innovative technologies, and disseminate scientific knowledge for the benefit of the farming community. Through this collaboration, both organizations aspire to contribute to sustainable agricultural development by integrating academic knowledge with real-world farming practices.
In addition, the agreement emphasizes the importance of maintaining confidentiality, protecting intellectual property rights, and ensuring transparency in all collaborative activities. It provides a flexible framework under which individual projects and programmes will be planned and implemented through mutual consent, subject to the availability of resources and funding. The partnership also includes provisions for periodic review, modification, and effective communication through designated coordinators from both institutions.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding represents a milestone in FASAI's continuous efforts to establish meaningful collaborations with leading agricultural organizations. It is expected to enhance students' employability, strengthen research capabilities, facilitate knowledge exchange, and create opportunities for internships, field demonstrations, consultancy, and community outreach.
