FET, Rama University and Red Hat India Private, Mumbai signed MoU

Faculty of Engineering and Technology to ensure excellence in Industrial 4.0 Technology, signed MoU with Red Hat India Private Ltd, Mumbai.
Our collaborative partnership with Red Hat Academy is to empower our students to establish a promising career path within open-source and Red Hat technology. The program provides support and resources for students’ lifelong success. The program is based on the premise that learning involves not just thinking, but doing. The system challenges the students with a rigorous curriculum and hands-on labs that equips them with enterprise-ready skills. With Red Hat Academy, our mission is to create communities that create better open source technology in a constantly evolving technology market.
Dr. Hari Om Sharan, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology Rama University, Kanpur and Mr. Sovik Bromha, Director, Redhat India Private Limited, Mumbai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Here is a brief description of the MoU :
Areas of Cooperation
- Industry-leading curriculum - Linux, Cloud, DevOps and Middleware
- Discounted Red Hat exams for instructors and students
- Multiple courseware formats - e-book (fee), Printed (fee) or HTML (free) and
- Globally standardized materials available through web-based academy portal
The 7 courses offered under the RHA program are:
- Core System Administration - I - RH124 (Sys Admin-I)
- Core System Administration - II RH134 (Sys Admin-II)
- Core System Administration - III RH254 (Sys Admin-III)
- Middleware Development - JB183 (Java Enterprise Edition),
- JB283 (Implementing Microservices Architectures)
- Cloud Computing - CL110 (OpenStack Admin)
- DO180 (Containers, Kubernetes and OpenShift)
The 4 certification exams available after undergoing the courses are:
- EX200 (Red Hat Certified Sys Admin)
- EX300 (Red Hat Certified Engineer)
- EX183 (Red Hat Certified Enterprise Application Developer)
- EX283 (Red Hat Certified Enterprise Microservices Developer)
