FJS Organizes Expert Lecture on Drafting as a Strategic Tool in Litigation

The Art and Science of Drafting in Litigation
The Faculty of Juridical Sciences successfully organized an Expert Lecture on “The Role of Drafting in Litigation” on 23 January 2026 at 2:00 PM in Lecture Hall–203, V.C. Building. The lecture was delivered by Senior Advocate Mr. S. N. Shukla, a distinguished legal practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in Civil and Criminal Litigation, under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall, (Dean–FJS).
Objective of the Programme
The objective of the expert (alumni) guest lecture was to bridge the gap between legal education and practical advocacy by providing students with real-life insights into civil and criminal litigation. The session aimed to motivate students to pursue professional excellence, ethical legal practice, and practical competence in litigation.
Programme Details
The programme commenced with a formal welcome and introduction of the distinguished alumnus and guest speaker, Mr. S. N. Shukla, Senior Advocate, Kanpur Courts. With over three decades of professional experience, Mr. Shukla delivered an enlightening lecture sharing invaluable insights from his extensive litigation career.
He discussed key practical aspects of civil litigation, including:
- Drafting of pleadings
- Filing of suits
- Securing interim reliefs
- Evidentiary procedures
- Effective case management
Mr. S. N. Shukla shared his rich professional journey spanning over three decades at the Bar and emphasized:
