Hands-On ABG and PFT Workshop Enhances Diagnostic Skills of Physiotherapy Students at Rama University

Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Allied and Healthcare Sciences (FAHS), Rama University organized a one-day hands on training workshop for the students of BPT Third year on the topic “ABG & PFT.” The workshop was conducted by Dr. Aakanksha Bajpai, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, SGT University, Gurugram. It incorporated 34 students from the batch of BPT 2023-24 session. The workshop aimed at establishing clear and basic rules of diagnosis using Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) and Pulmonary Function Test (PFT). The workshop had practical exposure for students that included gathering of basic knowledge regarding the use and importance of ABG and PFT. The students within this workshop learnt how to manage and read readings of the report and also to draw a proper diagnosis from the same. The main objective behind conduction of this workshop was to make students in line with the advanced diagnostic tool and strategies. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Apoorva Srivastava, Assistant Professor, FAHS. It was convened by Dr. Nidhi Shukla, Assistant Professor, FAHS.
