The Lamp Lighting Ceremony holds a timeless and sacred place in the nursing profession. It symbolizes the transition of students from learners to committed caregivers who embrace knowledge, compassion, service, and ethical responsibility. Inspired by the legacy of Florence Nightingale the “Lady with the Lamp” this ceremony reminds nurses that their profession is not merely a career, but a lifelong calling to serve humanity with empathy, integrity, and competence. As each student takes the oath in the presence of the illuminated lamp, they pledge to uphold the highest standards of nursing practice and to carry the light of care into the lives of those they serve.
The 18th Batch Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony IGNITE 2025 of B.Sc.
