Industrial Visit Enhancing Healthcare Management Knowledge Through Practical Hospital Administration Experience Vedanta Hospital

The Faculty of Commerce & Management (FCM), Rama University, organized an Industrial Visit to Vedanta Hospital, Kanpur on 4 August 2026 for the students of MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management) & B.Com. (Hons.) with the guidance and encouragement of Dr. Indu Shukla, Dean (Acting), Faculty of Commerce & Management,
The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to hospital administration, patient care services, departmental coordination, and healthcare operations. During the visit, students observed the functioning of various hospital departments and interacted with healthcare professionals, enabling them to relate their theoretical knowledge to real-world healthcare management practices.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Munindra Prakash Shakya and Dr. Shivangi Awasthi, while Dr. Iffat Fatima and Prof. Preeti Trivedi shared valuable insights into hospital administration, healthcare management, and patient-centric service delivery. Their expert interactions enhanced students' understanding of the operational and managerial aspects of the healthcare sector.
This industrial visit reflected the Faculty's commitment to promoting experiential learning and strengthening industry–academia collaboration. The programme proved to be highly informative and beneficial, equipping students with practical knowledge, professional exposure, and a deeper understanding of the healthcare industry, thereby preparing them for future careers in hospital and healthcare management.
