The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries (FASAI), Rama University, organized an industrial visit on September 26, 2025 to Namaste India Pvt. Ltd., Shivrajpur, Kanpur. The visit aimed to provide students with firsthand knowledge of milk processing, handling, management, and distribution. Dairying has long been an integral part of rural mixed farming systems in India, offering significant nutritional, economic, and livelihood benefits. In particular, dairy farming plays a vital role in sustaining rural households in drought-prone areas by addressing poverty, unemployment, and nutritional challenges. Milk and dairy products are widely recognized as essential components of a balanced diet, providing protein, fat, and dietary energy to large populations. Despite these benefits, affordability remains a challenge for many sections of society. During the visit, around 50 students accompanied by two faculty members observed the functioning of the milk industry and gained valuable insights into its operations. The exposure helped students understand the diverse career prospects available in the dairy sector, including opportunities in processing, product development, quality management, and distribution.
