The 2nd International Conference on “Global Nurses: United Voices” was organized with the vision of bringing together nursing professionals, academicians, researchers, and global health leaders onto a single platform to exchange knowledge, share innovative practices, and strengthen collaborative networks. Rooted in the belief that nurses are pivotal contributors to global health and social transformation, the conference aimed to highlight contemporary challenges, evolving professional roles, leadership dimensions, and evidence-based practices within the field of nursing. Through its theme, the conference emphasized unity, empowerment, and the collective global voice of nurses, fostering an environment that inspires growth, leadership, and professional excellence.
The first day of the 2nd International Conference on “Global Nurses: United Voices” commenced on 11th December 2025 at the Rama University Auditorium with an atmosphere of anticipation, academic enthusiasm, and collective purpose. Delegates, academicians, scholars, and students arrived with great interest, setting the tone for a day filled with intellectual enrichment, global perspectives, and professional collaboration. The auditorium resonated with a spirit of unity and scholarly excitement as participants prepared for the academic engagements ahead.
The day began with the Registration and Assembly of Participants from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, during which delegates were warmly welcomed by the organizing committee. Registration kits were distributed, and participants were guided to their respective seating areas. This session offered an opportunity for early interactions among attendees and ensured a smooth transition into the day’s proceedings.
From 9:30 am to 10:00 am, participants underwent a Pre-Test Assessment, designed to gauge their baseline understanding of the conference themes and academic content. This evaluation served as a reflective tool to measure knowledge gained throughout the conference and helped align the sessions with participants’ learning needs.
Followed by inaugural ceremony ,the first day of the conference was chaired by Dr. Naveena J. H., Principal cum Professor, Government College of Nursing, Kanpur, whose exemplary leadership and academic expertise added great depth to the day’s proceedings. With his dignified presence and scholarly insight, he provided a strong intellectual anchor for the inaugural academic sessions. Dr. Naveena introduced the speakers of the day with precision and grace, offering meaningful context to each topic and setting the tone for insightful discussions. His guidance ensured a smooth flow of the plenary sessions and enriched the learning experience for the delegates through his thoughtful engagement and professional warmth.
The scientific deliberations began with Plenary Session I, conducted from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm by Dr. Dipti Shukla, Principal, Samarpan Institute of Nursing & Paramedical Science, Lucknow. Speaking on “Nurses’ Leadership Development in Environments with Limited Resources,” she presented compelling insights into the realities of resource-limited settings. Her lecture emphasized the essential qualities of resilience, adaptability, and creative leadership that nurses must cultivate to deliver quality care despite constraints.
From 12:30 pm to 01:30 pm, Plenary Session II was delivered by Dr. Jasmi Johnson, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University. Her topic, “Gender Equity and Empowerment in the New Era,” highlighted the evolving dynamics of gender roles in healthcare. She stressed the importance of empowerment, professional recognition, and equitable opportunities to strengthen the nursing workforce globally.
A Lunch Break from 01:30 pm to 02:30 pm allowed participants to relax, network, and engage in meaningful discussions with fellow delegates. The break facilitated informal knowledge exchange and helped foster professional relationships among attendees.
The afternoon resumed with Plenary Session III from 02:30 pm to 03:30 pm, presented by Dr. Rajini Peter, Professor cum Principal, College of Nursing, AIIMS Nagpur. Her enlightening session on “Nursing Leadership of the Foreseeable Future: From Clinical Roles to Policymakers” addressed the shifting expectations of the nursing profession. She emphasized the emerging need for nurses to take on leadership roles in policy formulation, healthcare governance, and national-level decision-making.
At 03:30 pm, the day’s auditorium events concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, speakers, delegates, and organizing committee members. The acknowledgement highlighted the collective effort and dedication that shaped the success of the first day’s programme.
Meanwhile, from 02:30 pm to 05:00 pm, a Parallel Scientific Paper Presentation session was held. Scholars and researchers presented their academic work, showcasing innovative ideas, evidence-based findings, and contemporary trends in nursing and healthcare. This session offered a valuable platform for emerging researchers to share their contributions and engage in scholarly dialogue.
In summary, Day 1 of the conference concluded on a highly productive and inspiring note. The combination of an impactful inaugural ceremony, thought-provoking plenary sessions, and rigorous research presentations established a strong foundation for the subsequent days of academic exchange. The day embodied the spirit of global unity, professional excellence, and collaborative growth that the conference aimed to promote.
