Inspiring Creativity and Knowledge: Faculty of Paramedical Sciences Hosts Innovative "Joint Structure Painting" Activity

An interesting skill-building exercise for fourth-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) students, was recently organized by Rama University's Faculty of Paramedical Sciences in an effort to integrate learning with creativity. On November 6, 2023, a hands-on and creative activity called "Joint Structure Painting" was held with the aim of improving the students' understanding of joint anatomy and biomechanics.
Twelve students enthusiastically participated in the event, which was organized by Dr. Apoorva Srivastava, the BPT IV-year coordinator, and supervised by Dr. Brijendra Nigam, Principal of Rama Institute of Paramedical Sciences. The students were divided into groups and given the task of painting a specific joint on a model's body. To add an educational twist, participants were required to explain the detailed anatomical structure and biomechanical aspects of the assigned joints to a panel of judges.
The activity was judged by an External member Dr. Sumit Asthana, Head of Department, Department of Physiotherapy, Era University, Lucknow. The internal judges included Ms. Meghna Verma, Mrs. Swastika Singh Chandel, Dr. Nidhi Agarwal, Dr. Nidhi Shukla, and Dr. Manjit Kumar. Judges applauded the students for their hard work.
The innovative approach of combining artistic expression with anatomical knowledge reflects Rama University's commitment to providing holistic education and fostering a creative and interactive learning environment.
