The Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, organized an MoU based educational visit to the LPS Institute of Cardiology, GSVM Kanpur on 13th November 2025, as part of its initiative to strengthen students’ understanding of medico-legal dimensions and promote interdisciplinary learning under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall (Dean, FJS).
A total of 12 students from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th years of the law program participated in this visit. The session aimed to acquaint students with the intersection of law, medicine, and ethics, thereby enhancing their understanding of the practical legal implications within the healthcare framework.
During the visit, Dr. Amarjeet Mitra and other experts at the Institute conducted an informative session on medical procedures, medico-legal issues, and the ethical governance framework. Students were briefed on the ethical governance model that the State Government is planning to implement to ensure transparency, accountability, and protection of patient rights in medical practice.
This initiative was undertaken under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the LPS Institute of Cardiology and Rama University, reflecting a shared commitment toward academic collaboration and experiential learning. The visit was conducted under Head of Ms. Riddhi Tripathi (HoD) while Ms. Diksha Taneja (Assistant Professor), Faculty of Juridical Sciences, accompanied and supervised the students throughout the visit.

Students also provided valuable feedback and legal suggestions related to the implementation of ethical frameworks in healthcare.
This initiative reflects the Faculty’s commitment to promoting an interdisciplinary approach to legal education by bridging the gap between law, health, and ethics. Such academic collaborations contribute significantly to the holistic development of students, preparing them to handle emerging challenges at the confluence of law and medicine.
Overall, the visit proved to be enriching and insightful, providing students with first-hand exposure to medico-legal complexities and reinforcing the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge in contemporary legal education.
