The Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, Kanpur, successfully organized the 2nd Intra Client Counselling Competition, 2025 on September 16-17, 2025, under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall (Dean, FJS). The competition was designed to provide law students with a hands-on platform to hone their skills in client interviewing, legal problem analysis, counselling, and professional ethics. It served as a valuable exercise in simulating real-world lawyer–client interactions, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application.
This year’s competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 18 teams, with students showcasing exceptional legal knowledge, communication, and client handling abilities. Following a series of rigorous and engaging rounds, the team comprising Ms. Isha Thakur and Ms. Jaya Tripathi (4th Year, B.A. LL.B.) emerged as the Winners, while the Runner-up position was secured by Mr. Mohd Sameer and Ms. Kiran (2nd Year, B.B.A. LL.B.).
Special recognitions were awarded to Mr. Sunny Kumar (2nd Year, B.B.A. LL.B.) as the Best Client Counsellor, and Mr. Abhijeet Singh was honoured with the title of Best Client. All winners received medals and mementos in recognition of their exemplary performances.
The event was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour, Mr. Harsh Gupta, Financial and Business Manager, Shri Ram Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (C.A.), whose motivating address inspired students to embrace professionalism and client-centric legal practices. The formal proceedings were facilitated by Ms. Riddhi Tripathi, who extended a warm welcome to the guest.
The competition was adjudicated by a distinguished panel of legal professionals, including Mr. Mohd Shaad and Ms. Priyanshi Shukla, both practicing advocates. Their fair judgment, insightful feedback, and professional guidance greatly enriched the learning experience for the participants.
