LEX UDAAN 2026: Beginning the Legal Journey – Student Professional Development Programme

The Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, Kanpur, organised LEX UDAAN 2026 – Student Professional Development Programme on 27 August 2026 at the Moot Court for B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., and LL.B. First-Year students. The programme was designed to support the academic, professional, and personal development of newly enrolled law students by providing practical exposure, professional orientation, and an understanding of the competencies required for a successful legal career with objective
- To develop students’ professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- To enhance their practical understanding of the legal profession.
- To familiarize students with professional expectations, workplace etiquette, and career competencies.
- To promote confidence, critical thinking, legal reasoning, and effective communication.
- To bridge the gap between classroom-based legal education and professional practice.
- To create awareness about career opportunities and pathways in the legal profession.
The programme was conducted at the Moot Court, providing an appropriate academic and professional environment for interactive learning. The session focused on introducing students to the importance of professional development during the early stages of legal education. Students actively participated in the programme and engaged in discussions on career preparedness, professional conduct, communication skills, legal aptitude, and the practical application of legal knowledge.
The interactive approach encouraged students to reflect on their academic strengths, professional aspirations, communication abilities, and areas requiring further development. The programme also motivated students to adopt a proactive approach towards internships, co-curricular activities, skill development, and future career opportunities.

LEX UDAAN 2026 – Student Professional Development Programme was a meaningful academic initiative of the Faculty of Juridical Sciences aimed at promoting professional readiness, employability, practical learning, and holistic development among first-year law students. The programme provided students with an opportunity to understand the expectations of the legal profession and strengthen essential competencies at an early stage of their academic journey. It further encouraged students to pursue their legal education with confidence, professionalism, ethical awareness, and a career-oriented approach.
