Lighting the Path of Kindness: “One Light for Hope – 2025” by Law Students of Rama University

The law students of the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Kumar Mall Dean-FJS, organized a community outreach programme titled “One Light for Hope – Lamp donation campaign 2025” at Trilokpur Village, Chaubepur, Kanpur.

This social initiative was undertaken to spread the message of hope, compassion, and service among the underprivileged sections of society during the festive season. The event aimed to encourage students to blend legal education with social awareness and humanitarian values.

Objectives of the Campaign

1. To promote the values of compassion, community service, and social responsibility among law students.
2. To extend support and goodwill to economically weaker sections of society by sharing festive cheer.
3. To encourage student participation in community development and enhance the university’s outreach activities.
4. To foster the spirit of humanity, empathy, and inclusivity, reflecting the holistic educational vision of Rama University.

As part of the campaign, students visited Trilokpur village, interacted with the residents, and identified families in need. They distributed earthen lamps (diyas) and sweets to spread festive warmth and positivity.

Outcomes and Impact

• Around 100 families from Trilokpur village benefited from the distribution of diyas and sweets.
• Students gained firsthand experience in community engagement and social empathy.
• The campaign strengthened the bond between Rama University and local communities through a gesture of care and inclusion.
• The initiative inspired students to commit to social service beyond academics, aligning with the ethical and moral values of the legal profession.
