Marathon-Run for Unity & Plantation Campaign at Deeksharambh Orientation Programme 2K25

Marathon with the fresher’s and a Plantation Campaign were organized to promote fitness, responsibility, and sustainable values among the newly admitted students.
The Marathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from fresher’s, who ran together with zeal and energy, symbolizing the beginning of their academic journey with the theme ‘Run for Unity’ at Rama University on 25 August, 2025. The activity aimed to instill the values of physical fitness, teamwork, and perseverance, while also motivating students to lead a healthy lifestyle. The marathon created an atmosphere of excitement by helping the fresher’s feel connected with the university community.
Following this, a Plantation Campaign was conducted under the theme “Plant a Tree, Grow a Future”. This initiative was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:-SDG 13: Climate Action, by reducing carbon footprints and promoting eco-friendly practices, SDG 15: Life on Land, by contributing to biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by encouraging green spaces for a healthier environment.
Students from various faculties of Rama University actively planted saplings across the campus, symbolizing their commitment to environmental sustainability and collective responsibility for a better future. The campaign not only raised awareness about ecological balance but also motivated students to become active contributors to the global mission of sustainability.
Overall, the Marathon and Plantation Campaign served as impactful activities during Deeksharambh, combining the values of health, community spirit, and sustainable development to shape responsible and dynamic future leaders.
