Celebrating World Youth Skills Day 2026: Empowering Future Advocates
The Moot Court Club of the Faculty of Juridical Sciences (FJS), Rama University, organized a Workshop on Moot Court Skills Orientation and Advocacy Training on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day on 15 July 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Moot Court Hall for the Second-Year Law Students. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of moot court practice and strengthen their advocacy, legal research, memorial drafting, and courtroom presentation skills. The programme was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Kumar Mall, Dean, Faculty of Juridical Sciences, and coordinated by Mr. Maneesh Srivastava, Faculty Coordinator, Moot Court Club. The session was conducted by Ms. Diksha Taneja with the support of Ms. Riddhi Tripathi, Head of the Department, and the Moot Court Club members.
During the interactive session, students were introduced to the structure and significance of moot court competitions, including legal research, case analysis, memorial drafting, oral advocacy, courtroom etiquette, and professional ethics. The Moot Court Club members shared their experiences from various competitions and provided practical guidance on advocacy, legal argumentation, teamwork, and courtroom presentation. Students were encouraged to actively participate in moot court competitions to enhance their legal knowledge, communication, and professional skills.
The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students clarified their queries regarding moot court preparation and competition strategies. The programme was highly informative and aligned with the principles of experiential and skill-based legal education envisioned under the Bar Council of India.
