Physiotherapy Organises Expert Lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Future Healthcare Innovations

Objective:
The objective of the lecture was to make the BPT students aware about the role and future of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Physiotherapy, its clinical applications and challenges
Proceedings:
The online lecture started at 12:00 PM on Google Meet with a welcome address by Dr. Nidhi Agarwal. She introduced the guest speaker Dr. Shivam Srivastav from, Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapist, Respiratory Medicine, KGMU, Lucknow .He delivered an insightful and interactive session on "Physiotherapy and AI – Why It Matter". He covered the following points: What is AI and its relevance in healthcare Use of AI in physiotherapy assessment, gait analysis and exercise prescription AI-based rehabilitation devices, wearable technology and virtual reality Future scope and research opportunities for physiotherapy students Ethical issues and limitations The session was attended by students of BPT . Students participated actively and cleared their doubts in the Q&A session at the end.
Learning Outcome:
Students understood how AI is transforming physiotherapy from manual assessment to smart rehabilitation. The lecture motivated them to integrate technology with clinical practice.
Conclusion:
The lecture concluded at 1:00 PM with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr.Nidhi Agarwal. The feedback from students was excellent. The session was highly informative and successful.
