Rama Dental College Hospital and Research Centre organized Teachers Training Program Workshop

Being competent and proficient teacher is one of the most important resources in any educational institution. Creating a team of well-qualified teaching professional is a continual process of developing teaching competency, improving student engagement, and learning outcomes.
Faculty of Dental Sciences, Rama University organized a Teachers Training Program at Rama Dental College Hospital and Research Centre, Kanpur from 28th February 2019 to 1st March 2019. The event was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bagewadi, Prof. of Oral Medicine and Radiology and Vice-principal KLE Dental College, Belagavi, Karnataka. The program was attended enthusiastically by Members from Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Management, Physiotherapy, Nursing, and Pharmacy.
In the workshop, participants learnt about the duties and responsibilities of teachers towards students and the institution. Various aspects of teaching were discussed- including methods of teaching, curriculum planning, and ethics of the profession.
Participants were also asked to design small teaching projects, like study modules on a two day workshop with consideration for cross faculty interaction, financing the program, scheduling time, and considering a suitable method of teaching for the topic chosen. The workshop was truly focused on developing holistic learning approach towards modern teaching methodology.
