Rama University Organizes Mega Plantation Drive under Plant4Mother Campaign Promoting Environmental Sustainability and Awareness

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries (FASAI), Rama University successfully organized a Plantation Drive under the nationwide campaign “A Tree for Mother (Plant4Mother Campaign)” on 9 June 2026 at the Rama University Campus.
The programme was conducted in accordance with the directions received under the national initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation and encouraging citizens to dedicate a tree to their mothers as a symbol of gratitude, care, and sustainability.
The event commenced at 10:00 AM with the enthusiastic participation of faculty members, staff, and students of different faculties of Rama University. The programme highlighted the significance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and emphasized the role of every individual in protecting and nurturing the environment for future generations.
As part of the plantation drive, various saplings of shade, fruit-bearing, and ornamental trees were planted across designated locations within the university campus. Faculty members of different faculties of Rama University participated in planting and watering the saplings, demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship. Participants also took a pledge to care for the planted trees and contribute towards creating a greener and healthier environment.
The programme served as an effective platform to raise awareness regarding climate change, biodiversity conservation, and the importance of increasing green cover.
