Rama University Welcomes New Students at Deeksharambh 2026 Orientation Programme with Inspiration and Excellence

Rama University warmly welcomed its newly admitted students at Deeksharambh 2026, the Orientation Programme held on 20 August 2026 at the University Auditorium.The programme marked the beginning of a new academic journey and introduced students to the university’s legacy, academic environment, institutional values, opportunities, and campus life.
The programme commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Ganesh Vandana, followed by the felicitation of dignitaries and a video presentation showcasing the journey and achievements of Rama University.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr.Janardhana Amarnath B. J., welcomed the students and shared the inspiring journey of Rama University from its inception to the present, highlighting its growth, development, and vision. Respected Registrar, Mr. Prabhat Ranjan, explained the true meaning of Deeksharambh and encouraged students to incorporate its values of learning, discipline, responsibility, and personal growth into their lives.
Dean IQAC, Dr.Aneeta Yadav, provided students with a comprehensive overview of the university through an informative presentation covering its academic ecosystem, facilities, achievements, student accomplishments, and the various teams and support systems that serve as the backbone of the institution. Nodal Officer Anti-Ragging, Dr. R. Sujatha also briefed students on student responsibilities, campus safety and academic discipline.
The Chief Guest, Dr.Dibyendu Sekhar Bag, Additional Director & Head, Polymer Division, DMSRDE (DRDO), Kanpur, delivered an inspiring address emphasizing lifelong learning, time management, self-belief, and perseverance. Referring to the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, he encouraged students to recognize the strength and “light” within themselves and create their own path. He also reminded students that difficulties, challenges, and joy are all integral parts of life and encouraged them to face setbacks with resilience and a positive mindset.
A plethora of activities depicting multidisciplinary and cultural diversity of Rama University through vibrant performances were conducted by various faculties, including Nursing, juridical sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences & Allied Industries, Engineering & Technology, Commerce and Management etc. An Alumni Interaction and Experience-Sharing Session enabled newly admitted students to gain practical insights into university life and future career opportunities.
The formal programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks, National Anthem, and group photography. After lunch, students proceeded to their respective departments and participated in a Mega Plantation Campaign, promoting environmental awareness and social responsibility.

Deeksharambh 2026 provided a meaningful and inspiring beginning to the students’ university journey by combining institutional orientation, leadership guidance, professional motivation, cultural engagement, alumni interaction, and social responsibility. The programme encouraged students to pursue learning, excellence, innovation, self-growth, and responsible citizenship throughout their journey at Rama University.
