Introduction
As part of the university’s commitment to promote gender equality and celebrate women empowerment under the Mission Shakti initiative, the Faculty of Commerce and Management (FCM), Rama University, Kanpur, organized a Rangoli Making Competition on the theme “Nari Shakti” on 13th October 2025.
The event aimed to creatively highlight the strength, resilience, and multifaceted roles of women in society through the traditional and colorful art of Rangoli.
Participation and Theme Expression
A total of 35 students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their artistic creativity and thematic understanding through intricate designs. The venue came alive with a vibrant display of colors, flowers, and cultural motifs, each symbolizing the power and grace of womanhood.
The competition began at 10:00 AM, and participants were allotted four hours to complete their Rangolis.
Judging and Evaluation
The evaluation commenced at 2:00 PM, judged by an esteemed panel:

Prof. Indu Shukla, Head, Faculty of Commerce and Management
The judges assessed the Rangolis based on creativity, relevance to the theme, design, color harmony, and presentation. They praised the participants for their originality, skill, and meaningful interpretation of “Nari Shakti.”

- Third Prize: Ashi, Faculty of Allied and Health Care Sciences

Conclusion
